New Movie Friday!

In theaters today is 3 new films trying to battle WatchMen for the number one spot. The first film, Race to witch Mountain starring The Rock, looks like it might have the best chance. This Disney film will appeal to numerous audiences, especially kids. Next is horror film remake The Last House on the Left, which star’s Aaron Paul, Sara Paxton, Monica Potter and Garret Dillahunt amongst others. This film was originally made by Wes Craven in the 70′s, and is a cult classic. The other new film is Miss March, a raunchy college movie about some guy and his former girlfriend who is a playboy playmate. So there’s your choices!

Just posted this week on Complex.com is the exclusive behind the scenes video from the Brittany Snow photo shoot with photographer Tyler Shields. It seems like Complex has been making an appearance twice on this blog in the past few postings, so check it out already! Brittany’s new movie, Prom Night, killed at the box office this weekend by bringing in almost $23 million, slashing through the competition. Sorry for the hiatus people, but sometimes you just have to work, sleep or eat before theres time to blog. But today i had a free minute, literally one free minute, so i thought i would blog. Ive been working on a ton of new projects, most of which (unfortunately) i can’t blog about. But there are some which should be blogged! So, as a pre-cursor to hopefully more blogs this week, im going to post a new cover shot by Tyler Shields for Senses Magazine. The cover features actress Taryn Manning from movies like Hustle and Flow, and many others, and I must say- she looks better than ever in this pic. but don’t trust me, judge for yourself. Enjoy!

New Movie Friday!

There’s actually a few new movies in theaters this weekend, but which one will you go see?! Here’s the options: if you have an inkling you’re going to die soon but not sure how to d it in style, then you should get some tips from Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman in The Bucket List. However, if you’re not into that, there’s always the new VeggieTales Movie: The Pirates Who Don’t do Anything. Although if your IQ is over 30 or if your past age 4, might not be the best choice. But its ok, there’s also comedy First Sunday releasing this week. First Sunday stars comedy trio Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan, Katt Williams – and if you like that style of comedy, i’m sure it will be entertaining to you. I’m going to save my 10 bucks for next week when Cloverfield finally opens. The trailer is amazing, but if the monster turns out to be lame then JJ Abrams will i’m sure get a ton of flack.

And for some strange reason I decided to post a cover of Risen Magazine that Tyler Shields shot in 2007. So check it out if you like!

Golden Globes go bye bye… well sort of

The WGA Strikes again! But this time its the Golden Globes that suffers. NBC has decided to cut the usual 3 hour (or more) show to a 1 hour press conference announcing the winners. Sweet! Cant wait to tune into that one! I look forward to wasting an hour of my life watching what I could read in a newspaper or on the internet in 35 seconds. ha ha jk. But the show “change” was brought possible because all of the nominated actors (who are all SAG members) decided to boycott the show. Well, at least there’s a few other award shows to watch.

In case you guys didn’t see my previous blog video, check it out below. Its well worth it. And this little scuffel has turned into quite a big deal. Rainn Wilson does not seem happy, and today I came across his official statement about the fight on a “The Office” fan site.

All i can say is wow! But don’t worry Tyler, I got your back! And I will be using biting and eye gouging instead of ball grabbing- so prepare yourself Rainn!

New Movie Friday!

There’s a few new movies in theaters this weekend, but most notably I Am Legend starring Will Smith. A few weeks back i went to an advance screening and saw the film, and it was amazing. I suggest to anyone who likes Will Smith even a little to check out this film- he definitely deserves some sort of award for it. But also in theaters is kid toon remake Alvin and the Chipmunks. Although this film is a mix between live action and animation, there are a few notable stars in it including Jason Lee, Cameron Richardson and David Cross. If anyone sees this please let me know if its good, or a pile of chipmunk poop.

Thats right!! Its Friday so new movies are in theaters. The obvious front runner for box office champion for this weekend is The Golden Compass, which stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig- as well as some crazy CGI animals. This sci-fi film looks pretty entertaining, and a few friends of mine went to an advanced screening and said it was great. But if that’s not your cup of tea, then maybe check out tough guy film Strength & Honor. In this film Michael Madsen plays a retired boxer/street fighter who agrees to fight again in order to save his sons life. Im sure there’s lots of cool fight scenes in this film, so if you like fights or that bad ass Vinnie Jones from Snatch and Lock,Stock, & 2 Smoking Barrels, then shell out the 10 bucks and go see it.

I watched Thank You for Smoking again the other night and I forgot how funny Adam Brody was in that movie. Possibly his best performance to date? Well either way check out this pic of him as shot by Tyler Shields.

Ive been working on sooo many shoots this month, so I will be sure to post the pics as soon as they either run in the magazines, or on the billboards- but either way- lots of cool new stuff coming up in the near future…

And today I thought I would post a pic of Writer/Actress Busy Phillipps… Who im assuming is on strike with every other WGA writer in America. I wish the best for the writers, and im sure things will be back to normal soon enough. If you’re not familiar with Busy, she was one of the writers of Blades of Glory, and was also on a recent episode of Entourage. Check out the pic below….

Who would have ever thought that a Santa Claus movie would be stung by a 2nd week Bee Movie? Well Jerry Seinfeld probably… But its true! Bee Movie takes the top spot at this weekends Box Office, beating out newcomers Fred Claus, and Cruise Flick Lions for Lambs (which bombed). Here’s the breakdown:

1. Bee Movie – $ 26 million
2. American Gangster – $ 24.3 million
3. Fred Claus – $ 19.2 million
4. Lions for Lambs – $ 6.71 million
