It’s Friday! So that means there’s some new flicks in theaters… Which ones you ask? well here’s the rundown; If you a fan of video games turned into movies, then Streetfighter: The Legend of Chun Li is for you! The film stars Kristin Kruek as Chun Li, on her quest for justice. I think if Kristin looks as hot int he movie as the video game character does, then this movie might be worth checking out. Also in theaters (for you teeny boppers) is the Jonas Brothers: 3D Concert Experience. The title pretty much says it all, and if you need more explanation then you probably won’t want to see this one. And if the Jonas Bros in real life weren’t enough, now you can see them in 3D. Sweet. No sarcasm there I swear

That’s about it for the new stuff… If you see either of these films drop me a comment with your review!

In an obvious prediction, I think Dark Knight may finally not come in number one this weekend with th release of highly buzzed Ben Stiller film, Tropic Thunder. The trailer makes this film look hilarious, and definitely pushes many envelopes considering Robert Downey Jr. plays a black man, and that the Special Olympics has already been protesting the film for the use of the “R” word (aka Retard for all you mentally challenged out there). So I will definitely be seeing this film soon! haha I will drop a review once i see it, but in the meantime check out the trailer below.

Also in theaters is horror flick Mirrors, which stars Amy Smart among others. Looks o.k. from the trailer but hard for me to get in the horror mood this time of year- but that’s jus me. Also the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated/CGI film is released- which just proves Star Wars will never die! Neither will their fans. It looks entertaining, and I would love to hear anyone’s opinion if they see it.

Lots of new movies in theates to see this weekend! Especially if you haven’t had a chance yet this summer. Here’s a quick list of whats out… First, after 6 years since the last show, X-Files is back in theaters. Personally, I don’t even remember one episode from the show- even though I was a fan. But six years people! Let’s try to speed things up in the future. And from what i’ve heard on the streets is mixed reviews. So, if someone sees it, please let me know your thoughts. But if you like comedy, director Adam McKay is back with another Will Ferrel led film, Step Brothers. I saw Will and John C Reilly on Jimmy Kimmel this week, and I must say as stupid as this movie looks, it also looks as equally funny. Especially if you like the brand of comedy Will Ferrel brings to the table- and i’m a big fan. Hopefully I will find some time to check this one out soon. But there’s also a slew of films still in thaters from previous weeks, including Dark Knight, Mamma Mia, Hancock, Journey to the Center of the Earth, WALL-E, Hellboy 2, Wanted, Get Smart, Space Chimps and a few more…

So go see a movie and drop a comment review and let me know how good or bad- or mediocre you thought it was. Until tomorrow….

Thats right all you Batman fans, its back! And most likely better than ever. At least that’s what the fans are expecting, and according to online sales, they are right. Online service MovieTickets said 87% of their Wednesday sales were for Dark Knight, and Fandango said that 94% of its recent sales were also for the film. Thats insane! So, unless you have tickets already, don’t plan on walking up to a theater to check it out. Not even IMAX! The 94 IMAX theaters in are pretty much already sold out for the weekend. Might this be the biggest film opening ever? Monday we will know for sure… But also new to theaters this weekend is musical turned movie Mamma Mia! This film stars Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard. So if you’re a fan of the musical and you want to relive that moment, then check it out. Other than that, I suggest seeing something that came out in previous weeks, especially if you can’t get into Batman.

Also, there will be lots of cool new pics and content coming soon! Keep checking back for more!~

Hey Everyone! Sorry for the long hiatus, been a bit crazy lately. (well crazier than usual I guess) But the blog is back, and i’ll try to do more posts to keep you guys interested. So to get things going, heres what’s new in theaters today… This biggest draw looks like it will be Hellboy 2 – which i must say looks way better than the original. Guillermo Del Toro is an amazing director, so prepare yourself for some cinematic magic. But if that doesn’t sound good to you, then maybe check out Journey to the Center of the Earth which stars Brandon Fraser. If you have kids, this may be your best bet. But it also looks pretty entertaining if you like that sci-fi fantastical world of film making. And if your kids like weird movies starring Eddie Murphy as multiple characters, then there’s Meet Dave to check out. The trailer for this film looks just ok in my opinion, but then again i’m not 7 yrs old so i don’t think it should look that great to me anyways. So have fun at the theaters this weekend, theres plenty of new and old releases waiting for you.

And stay posted for more new content coming soon. Will have some cool new images by Smallz and Raskind and Tyler Shields this month.

There’s a few new movies in theater’s this weekend, some limited release and some wide… But here’s a breakdown. First, if you like Owen Wilson or Judd Apatow, you might want to check out Drillbit Taylor. It stars Owen as a low budget bodyguard, and the film is written by Seth Rogan and Kristofer Brown, so it might be good. If you’re not into cheezy comedies, you can check out a cheezy horror film in Shutter. Yes people- Joshua Jackson aka Pacey is back! So if you’re into that sort of thing, check it out. If you like Adam Carolla then go see The Hammer- an under 1 million dollar film that apparently is pretty good. I’m sure you have to enjoy Adam’s style of comedy to like the movie, but if you do go online and find a theater its playing in because it got only a limited release. If anyone see’s one of these films drop me a comment and let me know what you think!

Its Friday so there’s got to be some new movies in theaters! And we are lucky enough to have another Rambo! Thank you Sly Stallone!! As if a new Rocky wasn’t enough. Although the trailer for the film may not look the most promising, its freaking Rambo people! Don’t expect an amazing plot, but definitely expect some serious ass kicking and machine gun fights. What else would Rambo do?! So… you’ve got that option, or if you like Diane Lane there’s Untraceable- a movie about a crazy killer who kills people though the fans that visit his website. Will they catch the killer? who knows!!! Damn im thick on the sarcasm today. And, if you have no brain and like stupid comedy (not saying i dont like it) there’s Meet The Spartans. This movie looks awesome! That is if you’re stoned out of your mind- but hey- maybe that’s your style, who am i to judge. So have fun at the box office this weekend!

But also in theaters is female comedy Mad Money, which stars Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes. Unfortunately this film didn’t go straight to DVD, but it should be there pretty soon. Theres also a few other newcomers, but who really cares about them anyways.

There’s actually a few new movies in theaters this weekend, but which one will you go see?! Here’s the options: if you have an inkling you’re going to die soon but not sure how to d it in style, then you should get some tips from Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman in The Bucket List. However, if you’re not into that, there’s always the new VeggieTales Movie: The Pirates Who Don’t do Anything. Although if your IQ is over 30 or if your past age 4, might not be the best choice. But its ok, there’s also comedy First Sunday releasing this week. First Sunday stars comedy trio Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan, Katt Williams – and if you like that style of comedy, i’m sure it will be entertaining to you. I’m going to save my 10 bucks for next week when Cloverfield finally opens. The trailer is amazing, but if the monster turns out to be lame then JJ Abrams will i’m sure get a ton of flack.

And for some strange reason I decided to post a cover of Risen Magazine that Tyler Shields shot in 2007. So check it out if you like!

Its the Holiday Season in North America so that means there are a flurry of new releases in theaters. First, the newcomers will have to overcome last weeks champion I Am Legend which has already grossed $97.2 million since it opened last weekend. New to theaters is Johnny Depp musical The Legend of Sweeney Todd, which has been promoted heavily online- especially on myspace. Also in theaters is Nicole Cage fueled sequel National Treasure- Book of Secrets. This sequel to a rip off of The Da Vinci Code will surely bring in major dollars considering the original has made over $340 million worldwide. Another new release this week is Tom Hanks / Julia Roberts film Charlie Wilson’s War. This film appeals to a specific demographic, so i’m sure it will do decently, but not amazingly. And if that wasn’t enough, here’s what else is new to theaters; Walk Hard : The Dewey Cox Story, The Great Debaters- Directed by and Starring Denzel Washington, and Alien vs Predator: Requiem. So there’s plenty of choices for everyone, and if you don’t want to go out to theaters then rent a really cool surf film, The Forgotten Coast. You can get it at Blockbuster or Hollywood Video. Check out the poster below….

There’s a few new movies in theaters this weekend, but most notably I Am Legend starring Will Smith. A few weeks back i went to an advance screening and saw the film, and it was amazing. I suggest to anyone who likes Will Smith even a little to check out this film- he definitely deserves some sort of award for it. But also in theaters is kid toon remake Alvin and the Chipmunks. Although this film is a mix between live action and animation, there are a few notable stars in it including Jason Lee, Cameron Richardson and David Cross. If anyone sees this please let me know if its good, or a pile of chipmunk poop.

Check out this photo of Cameron Richardson that Tyler Shields took not too far back. And for those of you who aren’t familiar with Tyler Shields photography, you should definitely check out his site at www.tylershields.com, he’s amazing.

Thats right!! Its Friday so new movies are in theaters. The obvious front runner for box office champion for this weekend is The Golden Compass, which stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig- as well as some crazy CGI animals. This sci-fi film looks pretty entertaining, and a few friends of mine went to an advanced screening and said it was great. But if that’s not your cup of tea, then maybe check out tough guy film Strength & Honor. In this film Michael Madsen plays a retired boxer/street fighter who agrees to fight again in order to save his sons life. Im sure there’s lots of cool fight scenes in this film, so if you like fights or that bad ass Vinnie Jones from Snatch and Lock,Stock, & 2 Smoking Barrels, then shell out the 10 bucks and go see it.

I watched Thank You for Smoking again the other night and I forgot how funny Adam Brody was in that movie. Possibly his best performance to date? Well either way check out this pic of him as shot by Tyler Shields.

Two heavy weights are going toe to toe this weekend in Theaters- Fred Clause vs. Lions for Lambs. So who will come out on top? Even though Tom Cruise is one of the most notable celebrities in the world, its tough to beat out a crossover comedy like Fred Clause, which will appeal to both kids and fans of Vince Vaughn. And even though Robert Redford is directing and Starring in Lions for Lambs, does anyone really want to go see another political film? Even if it is relevant to our society today, I think the general public wants to escape through film, instead of being reminded about the long gestating war in Iraq. What do you guys think? Drop me a comment and let me know…

Also, check out this photo of Benji Madden from Good Charlotte…
